Kebabs make mouths happy

Kebabs ... oh the blissful memory of my favorite food in Sweden. Up until now I have just accepted the inevitability of not having kebabs in the US and forced my mouth to wait for my yearly trip to food heaven.

No longer.

I just made a kebab (talriq?) - who knows how to spell that! Let me inform all of you in the US of how you can join in on the yummy goodness.

1 pkg shaved beef (I used Farmland - they call it Philly style)
Cut onions - I don't use too much - whatever amount floats your boat.
Brown these two together, making sure to make the meat flaky.

You eat a kebab with cut lettuce and a few slices of tomato. You can put it all together in a pita, on top of a pizza crust w/ the added cheese of course. (Aaron's favorite). Or my personal favorite all of that on top of a bed of french fries.

But what makes a kebab is the sauce. Lots and lots of sauce. I even have that for you. (You should thank me)

1 1/4 cups of plain yogurt
1/4 cup of mayonnaise (not Miracle Whip)
1 tsp minced garlic (more if you want more garlic ... you could figure this out yourself)
1 tsp basil
1 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1-2 tsp Tabasco
1 tsp chili powder
mix together (its better the longer the sauce sits) and liberally cover your kebab.

Let me know what you think, but personally I couldn't have made my mouth any happier.
